This summer and fall have kept us busy. We travelled on a Koehn family vacation to a remote lake near Kamloops called Vidette Lake Resort (pictures above). Contrary to what the 'resort' in the name might imply, our accomodations were rustic and lacking electricity! This meant that we were very early to bed and got lots of sleep and had little game time. It was great to see our new nephew Quillan and to watch Joel and Zavary play together.
We followed this week by one helping out a Frontier Lodge. There was a large group of high school students in. Steve got a chance to help with biking and I did a lot of hiking as it was too cold and rainy to climb. One of the highlights of the week was a snowfall of over a foot (not exagerating)!
Steve and I have finally purchased our plane tickets!!! We will be flying to Cancun on October 15, and after a few days of adjusting to the sun, we will continue by bus to Belize and Guatamala. Once in Guatamala we are going to stay in Antigua, take 3 weeks of Spanish school and board with a local family. We are looking forward to getting on the road and starting our adventure!
Looks good!
