Pleasant Panama

We´ve been in Panama for a week or so and have divided our time between the stifling heat of the cities and the cool breezes and good coffee of the mountain highlands. Our overall impression of Panama has been really good. Polite people, lower cost of travelling, and lots of interesting things to see and do.

One of the highlights would have to be our visit to the Panama Canal. Some of the ships going through there are sooo big. There is a great museum/exhibit right beside the locks and we learned a lot about the history, economics and science behind the canal. Good times.

We´re still deciding on our South American route but we´re heading to the airport tomorrow to see if we can get a stand-by flight somewhere. We´ll let you know how it works out.
