We are officially finished school (at least for now), and the weather has taken a turn for the better (Sorry Albertans). Days are sunny and in the mid-twenties with nights cooling off to about 10. Almost perfect weather in my books. We plan on seeing the sights of the area, doing some hiking, and learning spanish in a few other ways (the local library and story reading times for the kids).
We´ve now figured out how to use Skype with the impetus being my sister´s birthday the other day. It´s pretty cheap but the call quality still leaves something to be desired.
So you want to hear more about what we see every day? If we wander down by the lake´s edge we see women hand washing their family´s clothing on the rocks. After the laundry is finished, they soap themselves and finish with a bath. Then the husband will come and carry the basket of wet laundry back to the house with a leather band that wraps around his forehead. We also see women carrying huge bags and packages on their heads.
