Safe in Bangkok

We were just watching the news and heard about the plane crash in Phuket. We wanted to let you know that we are still in Bangkok, and do not have any flights planned in the immediate future. We will write more tomorrow about what we have been up to since we arrived and what we are planning for the next little while. Good night (or good morning!)

    You say that you are just blogging that note to let everyone know that you are alive.... but I know that it is really to say - we are on the road again... and you suckers are getting ready for winter. :-)

    I thought of you guys yesterday as I was at a little central american import grocery place. I love going into a store and they address you with a different language. One lady said "Hola Baby" to my 2.5 year old. She said she wasn't a baby, but when I mentioned that she said Hola to her, she smiled. (my daughter has learned all her spanish from Dora (the explorer).

    Looking forward to more updates and pictures.
